Every year, public employees shoulder the burden of rate increases, but 2025, by far will be the largest increase yet. Labor unions were stripped of their right to collectively bargain over healthcare costs under Governor Snyder – and we still don’t have a say in our healthcare costs to this day.
We are asking that you send a letter to the Governor and Lt. Governor supporting legislation that would reform Governor Snyder’s Publicly Funded Health Insurance Contribution Act (PA 152 of 2011) that limited the amount that public employers could spend on employee healthcare plans.
