Join SEIU Michigan for the Detroit Labor Day March and Celebration
Join SEIU Michigan and Affiliates for the Labor Day march and celebration on Monday, September 2nd. SEIU members will begin the march at the SEIU Local 1 office (2211 E. Jefferson, Detroit). Please arrive between 7:00 am – 8:30 am for sign in and board the shuttle to the march starting point. The march begins at 9:00 am. SEIU will begin by lining up on Porter Street from Trumbull to Rosa Parks. The parade’s final destination will be Roosevelt Park.
A brief program will begin at Noon and will feature members, labor leaders, and elected officials.
Following the march and program, members and leaders will be directed to 1500 Lafayette Central Park (on the Larned side) for the SEIU Michigan Labor Day Celebration. We will have food, fun, voter registration, and book bag giveaways!
