SEIU Sends Letter to MDOT Director Regarding Remote Work/Next Phase Plan

Over the last few weeks, SEIU Local 517M has heard from multiple members within the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), regarding the agencies Remote Work/Next Phase plan as presented to employees on December 15, 2021.

After reviewing the plan and discussing timeline concerns with members, SEIU drafted a letter to Director Paul Ajegba to formally ask that the agency “reverse course on requiring in-office workdays until the science shows that Covid-19 and its variants (Omicron and Delta) are contained and no longer a public health threat.”
